Recently we spent a wonderful Sunday at Moon in the Pond Farm with Farmer Dom Palumbo. The entire day was incredible; our visit was filled with great friends, delicious food, lots of laughter and an abundance of wholesome experiences! It was the perfect way to relax, reconnect and recharge: truly, a retreat!
Moon in the Pond Farm is nestled in Sheffield, Massachusetts and combines traditional farming with the more modern practices of agriculture and education. Farmer Dom has been farming for over two decades and has spent the past 10 years focusing on farm education. Moon in the Pond Farm relies on donations to help in its efforts to create greater awareness as to the importance of ecology, sustainability and community. Harney & Sons Tea Company is a member of the “1% For the Planet” initiative and has developed a relationship with Farmer Dom to support his positive impact on our community. An essential component of Dom’s farm is its students, interns and apprentices; all of whom contribute significantly to the viability of farming and increased environmental awareness.
Moon in the Pond Farm offers meats and produce that are all raised and grown with very intentional, ecologically-friendly and humane practices. His products can be purchased through the CSA membership, at the farm, on the website or at the Millerton, NY Farmer’s Market each Saturday.
