Grateful for Our Community

November 24th, 2021

As we get ready for a feast with our family, we look around and see so much that inspires the experience of gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and neighbors. Thank you for your role in making this life a special one!

We are grateful for this community we call home…

The mountains, fresh air, lakes, rivers, bountiful farms, farmers, homes, family, grandparents, moms & dads, children, teachers, the schools, the teachers, the artists, the volunteer ambulance, the medical workers, farm-to-table and locally-owned restaurants, the bakers, the grocers, the four distinctly beautiful seasons, wildlife, flowers, trees, birds, foxes, bears, squirrels, bunnies, deer, and our entire community friends!

Community Highlight: Habitat for Humanity

In the spirit of the season, we offer thanks to Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Connecticut for their years of service helping families and building stronger communities. From their website:

Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Connecticut works in partnership with families priced out of the housing market to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those partners with a no-interest mortgage.

On December 9 they will be celebrating the kick-off of a new build in Torrington.
