Cut-Your-Own Tree

December 11th, 2019

On Dec 12th from 12pm until 7pm, visit Housatonic Valley Regional High School for their FFA’s Holiday Night Under the Lights event where you can enjoy some holiday treats, Visit with Santa, Decorate Cookies, see their Barn Animals, or purchase a tree, wreaths and other holiday decorations from students in the Ag Program.

Evergreens are associated with everlasting life due to their hearty endurance throughout the toughest of weather. Decorating our homes with boughs of pine, spruce, and fir during the holidays embraces the vibrancy of the evergreen and captures its spiritual strength in the hearts of our homes.

Many traditions are celebrated during the holiday season with a thoughtfully decorated tree often seated in the center of gatherings and festivities.  Choosing a tree has become a holiday of its own – a coveted day where families gather to choose the centerpiece of eminent celebrations.  Trekking through snow-covered grounds, choosing and cutting the chosen tree, and hauling it home provides everlasting memories and a lifelong tradition.

The rolling hills of the Berkshires, Hudson Valley, and Litchfield County provide a picturesque landscape with several gorgeous Tree Farms where you can Cut-Your-Own Holiday tree.

Angevine Farm – Warren, CT

Averill Farm – Washington, CT

Deeply Rooted Farms – Harwinton, CT

Seekonk Tree Farm – Great Barrington, MA
