Stories of Johnny Appleseed and his fellow English Settlers continue to be passed down with pride from one generation to the next. The apple truly represents the American Dream; a fruit whose perseverance through adaptation has allowed it to flourish in varying climates throughout the world!

“You’ll never know how many apples there are in a seed.”

The Litchfield Hills, Berkshires, & Hudson Valley are in the heart of New England’s apple country. The Autumn Harvest is in full swing with our communities embracing the American tradition of apples –apple picking, apple pressing, applesauce, apple pie…

Explore the tri-state region this season and experiment with the many wholesome activities that the area has to offer. The possibilities are endless and you are sure to find your niche. After all, Thomas Jefferson experimented with 18 different varieties of apples before creating the cider that was served at Monticello.
