1.5-feet of Powder!

December 18th, 2020

The Berkshires are Dreamlike! With nearly 1.5-feet of fresh, powdery snow on the ground, this weekend is the ultimate welcome to the winter solstice! Check out the cross-country trails at Salisbury’s Railroad Ramble or Billings Trail in Norfolk. Ski Butternut offers tubing as well as downhill skiing. Catamount Mountain is now owned by Berkshire East, both excited to open with a solid base that is now covered with powder! Snowshoe around Thompson Pond Nature Preserve in Pine Plains to check out the winter wildlife.

Our region’s commitment to year-round recreation despite the challenges of this year is resounding. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, sledding and tubing – we have been blanketed with the beauty of the season.

Check out local guidelines and protocols as you plan your weekend, advance reservations required to ski/tube.
